Letters To Mother Earth
Letters To Mother Earth has just won its first award with 1st Monthly Film Festival. I am immensely grateful for this award as the 3 artist worked very hard on providing and performing their original pieces of work.. It is the first time I have attempted something that falls within the realms of "Experimental" and had no idea how it was going to be received. I guess if you have and idea and believe in it , why not go for it.

A Short Film On Climate Change
Unlike my other projects, Letters To Mother Earth is an artistic endeavour, comprising of a collaboration between 3 extremely talented artists. Each artist was asked to create an original artistic expression of what they feel and want to convey to others living with climate change.
I requested that each artist record a short explanation about their creation on their phone. This is because I wanted the message to come from them and not to be influenced by myself or by any pressure that I might be unwittingly exerted on them by placing them in front of a production team and camera.
The completed video is currently entered into several film festival as an experimental short film across the globe.

I would also like to state that, while comprising of 3 music videos: I as the director had been aiming for this project to highlight how art can play a major role communicating the issues surrounding climate change as as such the core focus is the message rather than the music. I have taken a risk in how I approached this project as it is far removed from my traditional documentaries. Nevertheless, the whole premise of this film was to demonstrate how art can be used to reach those turned of by science> I truly feel that we all have an important role to play and what better way than to discuss climate change through music and three very different genre . I hope it achieves its goal.
