I am Jean-François Rodrigues

My name is Jean-François Rodrigues. I'm a award winning documentary Filmmaker whose aim is to make films that have a positive influence on society and future generations.
In 2020, we have seen the world plunge into turmoil over both the Covid19 global pandemic and the realization that climate change is real. Through this enduring year, I have come to understand that leaving our future in the hands of those who place profit before people and the well being of this planet, appears to be a lost cause. Nevertheless, in a planet with over 7 billion people, the potential of the individual is immense and En-masse they have the ability to influence markets towards less harmful and more environmentally friendly buying trends that can positively assist and benefit the planet. As a filmmaker my hope is that my work goes in someway to bring about the necessary change required to levae the planet in a good place for future generations.

How We Work
Team Ethos
We work as a small team of passionate filmmakers who aim to educate and give back to society. The size of the team varies but remains small and felxible enough to allows us to have an intimate relationship with the people we are working with. Our key aim is to nurture the story to its full potential ; after all "STORY IS KING".
Equipment
The equipment we use is minimal and in many ways allows us to easily adopt to match the circumstances and immdiate requirements of run "N" gun documentary filming. By this I mean, our equipment helps us but in no way governs the filmmaking process or holds it captive by limiting what we can or cannot do. In many instances, we opt for the use of our vintage glass as they have their own unique and pleasing characteristics which we have found aids the overall storytelling ability type of chosen project.

The Crew For 2022
Interviewer
Rev Bethany Green - Bethany has helped out with a number of interviews. on various projects. This has not only been down to her being a talented interviewer but also because of her ability to empathize with the person being interviewed which sets them at ease

Audio Eng & Camera Operator
Luke Cawley has been working with our team since November 2021. Part of his role is to help with each aspect of the production process and provide an extra pair of eyes for the Director.
During his day job, he is a content developer and editor and joined the Give Back Production team to learn from an industry professional and gain some hands-on experience.
In my free time, I enjoy keeping active, walking the dog and socialising at my local pub."
Production
Dan Yarney is a key member of the production team and is often asked to work in all areas of production. This includes camera work as well as audio. In his spare time, he works on his own music, both by producing and editing tracks.
In addition, Dan has completed a Bachelor's in International Relations and Modern History and is currently completing a Masters's in Psychology. He hopes to soon be able to utilise his education within a global work environment.
